You

Hey there, bookworms! Happy Saturday! I hope you’re all well, and cozy, and reading your day away! It’s a dreary afternoon by me so I’m hunkered down with coffee, my next book on deck, some ideas for what to watch on Netflix, and hopefully.. an afternoon of writing.

As usual, I have reviews to bring your way… so many reviews… but I’m super stoked for tomorrow and they debut of one of my favorite reads in recent years coming to the small screen. I had to stop in and see if anyone else is excited for the premiere of You on Lifetime tomorrow evening!? I read this book and its sequel, Hidden Bodies, in 2016 and it’s one of those reads that just stuck with me. It’s the kind of writing that makes me envious. I just adored everything about this twisted tale, so I’m thrilled to see it come to life…. on Lifetime. Check out my review here.

“When a beautiful, aspiring writer strides into the East Village bookstore where Joe Goldberg works, he does what anyone would do: he Googles the name on her credit card.

There is only one Guinevere Beck in New York City. She has a public Facebook account and Tweets incessantly, telling Joe everything he needs to know: she is simply Beck to her friends, she went to Brown University, she lives on Bank Street, and she’ll be at a bar in Brooklyn tonight—the perfect place for a “chance” meeting.

As Joe invisibly and obsessively takes control of Beck’s life, he orchestrates a series of events to ensure Beck finds herself in his waiting arms. Moving from stalker to boyfriend, Joe transforms himself into Beck’s perfect man, all while quietly removing the obstacles that stand in their way—even if it means murder.”

If you’re feeling the spirit of the Halloween season, you’re a fan of psychological thrillers, or just want something dark, yet fast to read, go meet Joe before he hits your screen tomorrow night!
