The Anatomy of Us (WJM #2)

Good evening and happy Friday Eve to all my bookworms! It’s been another hectic week here, but I’m happy to say that I have another book done, two more in the works, and some other ideas cooked up to put on the blog in the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled! In the mean time, I hope you have books stacked up and ready to read, and you’re getting that holiday shopping done! I need to get on that myself, but until I do, here’s my latest book review!

So tonight, I’m getting into book two (and the last) in the WJM series by Amelia LeFay. I discussed book one, The Anatomy of Jane a few months back. You can read that post here. I’m so glad book two finally hit the shelves, because I needed The Anatomy of Us in my possession ASAP! I will warn you guys that there is some taboo subject matter in this book, and while I think it’s done tastefully, I’ll advise you to approach with caution if something like a menage relationship simply is not your thing. As for the rest of you who would like to follow me into the abyss of sexiness… let’s go!

I’m thrilled I finally got to this book! I was left hanging with book one a few months back, so it was good I didn’t have to wait too long to find out what happened to Wesley, Jane, and Max. When I meet up with them again, almost four years have gone by, and the heaviness on each of their hearts is almost unbearable. Max has been in a horrific accident that leaves his entire future in jeopardy, Jane has found herself in a delicate situation and completely abandoned, and Wesley has found fame and fortune as a chef, but spends his nights in solitude and at the bottom of an alcoholic beverage. It’s when all their paths eventually cross that all the uncertainty must be dealt with so that each of them can find some closure.

There’s also a new, and very key player who helps this trio overcome their hardships and differences in order to function and be civil around one another. I’m not going to reveal who this person is, because I just don’t want to give it away for you. You’ll just have to pick up your own copies to find out who I’m referring to.

Am I the only person who reads a book like this and can totally understand how a threesome relationship could work? How you can share your heart in a polygamist fashion and have more than one soulmate? So many view it as a sort of abnormality, but I loved learning how to understand the fundamentals of their relationships. Needless to say, I’m head over heels for Wes, Max, and Jane!

I adored seeing how these guys navigated their past to make their future brighter together. Unfortunately, my novel journey with them is over, but thankfully, there’s a Facebook group where I (and you) can get snippets and extras from this gang! You can join here!

With that, I’m going to sign off and get to my next read. If you’re looking for something a little different when it comes to romance, I can’t urge you enough to meet this group! If you want some steam, you won’t regret it! Happy reading!

My Final Rating: five out of five stars
