Hello there, bookworms! Long time, no see!

I feel like it’s been ages since I’ve been on here to say hello and give you an insight to all things bookish as well as some personal updates. Thankfully, I have a little bit to tell you now. Better late than never, right? I hope you’ve all been fantastic and enjoying a massive and endless TBR pile. I know I have, which is a shocker considering everything that has been going on.

The reason for my absence first and foremost. I’ve moved!

I’m not talking in the sense of domain or in a social regard (obviously). I quite literally picked up and moved house for the first time in YEARS. It was a long overdo change, and I’m actually pretty close to my parents’ house which is great considering all of their on-going medical obstacles. Distance wise, it wasn’t a massive move, but just the process of packing up, trekking everything to the new home, and organizing/unpacking/settling in is exhausting. I’ve been to my local target and grocery stores more times than I can count, I’m still decorating here and there, and I fell like I’m at the tail end of that unsettled feeling, but progress is being made. I got internet/tv hooked up on Thursday night so now that I’m catching up on all that I missed in the real world, life if becoming slightly more uneventful. I’ve had visitors coming and going and it’s just been a crazy 10+ days.

Now that I’m starting to feel at home in the new abode, I can say that one thing I have been killing has been my reading list. Being at work with Audible most of the day and not having tv and internet for almost a week means lots of reading time (when sleep doesn’t get the better of me first). This means there are lots of reviews heading your way very soon. I feel like I’ve even ventured into a new (and admittedly slightly weird) genre and while I’m still deciding how I feel about it overall, I’m interested to see if this is a dark corner of the romance universe any of you have wandered into.
