Hello there, bibliophiles! This post is long overdo and 150% my fault. Between work, BETA and ARC reading, getting to my regular TBR, and, you know, life. This launch day and blitz party totally got neglected and I’m sooooo sorry to the author about that. James M. Patrick was kind enough to reach out to me and include me in all of his preview and release day excitement and I’ve been so busy that I’ve barely been posting. All I can say is I’m sorry, it’s no excuse, and yet… later is better than never, right? His new book, Ashes Will Fall was released on August 7th so you should all check out some excerpts and then go pick up your copy now!
I hope that you are all as excited as I am! The day has finally come and Ashes Will Fall is LIVE! That’s right, you can get your very own copy from online retailers like Amazon, Smashwords, Kobo and iTunes for the price of $0.99 (Only until August 12th!).

James M. Patrick Bio
After serving his country in the US Army, James Patrick spent more than ten years serving as a Department of Defense and Department of State contractor throughout the Middle East to include Kuwait and Iraq. Contractor by day and writer by night, he has worked hard to author work that would entice and entertain his readers.
A student of history and politics, James attempts to bring a great deal of reality and sense of authenticity to his characters. Characters that become more to you than just the words on a page. Compelling stories that do more than simply entertain, but also a reason to laugh, cry, and in some cases want to scream.
Excerpts
Lazo had never taken the time out to think about how to dispose of a dead body. Sure, he had read several books, watched plenty movies and seen countless television shows that had their own ideas on how to dispose of a dead body. The problem was, he was not a calculating, shady character that did this type of thing on a normal basis. Though he was sure that there were good ideas in those movies and books, confronted with a real life dead body, he could not recall a single one. The point remained, he had to do something.
Standing on the boardwalk, looking into Gil’s soft brown eyes, he felt his pulse throbbing in his temples. At first, he thought it was the reaction from suddenly stopping his run. However, when the throbbing did not subside, in fact when it intensified the longer that he stood there he realized that it was Gil causing it. He felt as if he were hypnotized, and could do nothing more than stare into her eyes.
“How am I going to do this? I’ve never killed anyone. Hell, I’ve never shot a gun before. I’m a damn advertising executive. These guys are drug dealers.” Ruben pointed out.
“I was careful to choose guys who won’t put up much of a fight. These guys are small potatoes. The dealers that you are thinking of are too hard to get to. Don’t worry about them. All you need to do is kill them. I can make it look like what I need it to. Once an idea is planted, it’s hard to get rid of.” Ruben said. “Plus, I’m going to teach you everything that you need to know. You’ll be surprised at how easy it’s going to be.”
